The Amptron 36V 100Ah Lithium Battery Is Built Tough For Tough Aussie Set-Ups Needing some serious battery power for your current setup? The AMPTRO...
View full detailsA 100Ah lithium battery is the usual step off lead-acid for a weekend fridge, canopy lights and a bit of charging. This collection is that capacity across more than one voltage, from a light 12V pack to 24V, 36V and 48V systems.
Read moreUse this size when the trip is a couple of nights or the battery is an auxiliary, not the whole off-grid house. Longer stays, or a fridge plus a hard-working inverter, sit more comfortably in 200Ah lithium batteries. Flat cases are in slimline lithium batteries, and the wider touring shelf is lithium batteries for camping.
We stock 100Ah lithium batteries from brands already running in Aussie vans, boats and 4WDs:
Browse the 100Ah lithium batteries above and match voltage and case to the job. Call 1300 902 361 if you want a hand deciding between a loose pack and a wagon kit.
For a fridge and lights over a short trip, this is the size most people land on first. It gets tight once you add a microwave, an induction cooktop or several days without a charge. That is the cue to look at 200Ah lithium batteries, not to hope a weekend pack will behave like a touring bank.
They share a capacity class, not a system. A 12.8V pack is the van and ute default. The 24V compact is for a 24V aux setup, and Custom Lithium lists it for loads up to 3000W. The 36V Amptron, Enerdrive and K2 packs are aimed at marine use. Amptron's 48V BluEdge weighs 40.5kg at 520 x 267 x 229mm, and Custom Lithium's 48V pack is about 50kg at 458 x 310 x 262mm. None of those higher-voltage packs will run a 12V fridge on their own.
They are vehicle-specific auxiliary kits, not a loose battery for any tray. The MU-X kit is listed at 15kg and the Everest kit at 10kg, both Australian-made, with an Anderson SB120 on the battery. Notes on both kits recommend a qualified auto electrician, and they allow that some vehicles need minor trimming or drilling. The wiring kit is a separate item. If your wagon is not one of those two, stay with the loose packs on this page.
Amptron's batteries in this collection list Bluetooth monitoring, including CAN bus or RS485 on the BluEdge gear. Enerdrive's 24V, 36V and slimline B-Tec batteries list a phone app, both Tistar batteries list Bluetooth 4.0, and the K2 12V lists a Bluetooth BMS. The Renogy Core Mini listing leads with the case, the BMS and a 5,000+ cycle claim. Use the monitoring line on the product you are comparing, especially if you want state of charge on your phone.
No. The Renogy Core Mini is a small block at 229 x 138 x 213mm. The Amptron 12V 200A pack is 260 x 168 x 209mm and 11kg, which is a different footprint again. The Enerdrive slimline is long and narrow at 551 x 109 x 239mm, and Custom Lithium's Ultra Slim is 55mm thick. If the limiting measurement is depth, go to slimline lithium batteries and measure the overall size, rails included.
Yes, in parallel, if the second pack matches voltage and chemistry and you connect them at a similar state of charge. Two matching 12V packs stay at 12V and add amp-hours. Do not parallel a 12V pack with a 24V or 36V pack from this page. Same brand and a close age is the sensible pairing, and the cable and fuse have to suit the higher current.
