The Amptron 36V 100Ah Lithium Battery Is Built Tough For Tough Aussie Set-Ups Needing some serious battery power for your current setup? The AMPTRO...
View full detailsA 36V lithium battery puts the power of three 12V batteries into a single LiFePO4 pack. It's the go-to upgrade for 36V trolling motors, electric boats, golf carts and mobility gear, with one case to lift, one set of terminals and one charger instead of a bank of heavy lead-acid batteries wired in series.
Read moreOur 36V range runs from 85Ah to 150Ah, or about 2880Wh to 5760Wh of stored energy. If your system runs at a different voltage, see our 24V lithium batteries for trucks, boats and larger builds, or 48V lithium batteries for bigger off-grid and electric setups.
We stock 36V lithium batteries from brands trusted on Aussie boats and buggies:
Check your motor's maximum current draw against the battery's continuous rating. Most of this range is rated at 100A continuous, while the Amptron BluEdge 36V 150Ah steps up to 180A for bigger motors or longer runs at higher speed.
On a boat, spray and bilge water are a given. Look for an IP rating of at least IP65, and IP66 or IP67 if the battery sits somewhere exposed. All the batteries here have a built-in BMS that protects the cells from over-charging, over-discharging and short circuits.
A 36V LiFePO4 battery charges to around 43.8V, so it needs a 36V charger with a lithium profile. If you're replacing lead-acid batteries, check whether your existing charger can be set for lithium before you rely on it.

Yes. Many 36V trolling motors and carts run on three 12V batteries wired in series. A single 36V lithium pack does the same job with one BMS managing every cell, fewer cables and links, and far less weight to haul in and out of the boat. You'll need a charger to suit, as a three-bank lead-acid charger isn't designed for it.
A 36V LiFePO4 battery is built from twelve 3.2V cells in series, which adds up to 38.4V nominal. It's still a 36V battery and suits 36V systems. In use, the voltage holds up higher and flatter than lead-acid, which is why a trolling motor feels stronger for longer on lithium.
Divide the amp-hours by your average current draw. For example, if your motor averages 20A across the day, a 100Ah battery gives you roughly five hours of run time. Trolling motors draw far less at low speed than flat out, so slow trolling and spot-locking can stretch it well past that, while long runs at full speed bring it down.
In parallel, for more capacity at 36V, yes on batteries that support it, such as the Amptron BluEdge range. Series connections for higher voltages are not supported on the Amptron BluEdge batteries. If you need 48V, choose a battery built for it from our 48V lithium batteries range.
It depends on the IP rating. The Amptron BluEdge 36V 100Ah is IP67, which handles dust and temporary immersion, while the BluEdge 150Ah is IP66, for strong water jets. An IP65 battery copes with spray but is better mounted in a dry hatch. Whatever the rating, keep the terminals clean and dry to prevent corrosion.
