Read morePerth-based iTechWorld is an Australian brand focused on portable and 12V power gear for people who like to get off the beaten track. Its range is built around lithium technology, and most products are designed to work together, which makes it easier to grow a system over time without starting from scratch.
Think of an off-grid power system as three jobs: storing energy, getting energy in, and getting it out in a form your gear can use. The iTechWorld Australia range has products for each.
Lithium batteries are the foundation of a fixed setup in a canopy, drawer system or caravan. Portable power stations package a battery, inverter and outlets in one carry case for people who want plug and play. Compare options in our iTechWorld lithium battery range or across brands in our portable power stations for camping.
Solar panels and blankets top up batteries while you're parked, DC-DC chargers charge from the vehicle alternator while you drive, and mains chargers bring everything back to full at home or on a powered site. For cloudy stretches or bigger loads, a generator is a reliable backup. Browse our iTechWorld solar panels and blankets, or look at the wider generator range.
An inverter turns 12V battery power into 240V for laptops, kitchen appliances and tool chargers. Pure sine wave output is the safe choice for sensitive electronics. See the iTechWorld inverter range to match one to your loads.
Battery boxes, monitors, cables, Anderson plugs and mounting gear are easy to overlook, but they're what turn a pile of components into a safe, tidy system. Budget for them from the start.
Getting the order right saves money and avoids buying twice. A simple approach:
Once you're set up, our guide to maximising the life of your iTechWorld lithium battery covers charging, storage and care.

Generally, yes. Solar panels, chargers and inverters from different brands can work together as long as voltages match and your charger has a lithium or LiFePO4 profile suited to the battery. Avoid mixing different batteries in the same bank, as differences in capacity, age or chemistry can cause uneven charging.
A power station is plug and play and moves easily between vehicles, campsites and home. A fixed battery takes more installation but usually gives more capacity for the space and integrates with vehicle charging. Frequent or long trips tend to suit a fixed system. Occasional weekends and home backup often suit a power station.
Add up the amp hours your gear uses in a day, then allow enough capacity for one to two days with little charging. Lithium lets you use most of its rated capacity, so you usually need less than you would with lead acid. If you're unsure, call us with a list of your appliances and we'll help you work it out.
It depends how you travel. Solar works well when you're parked in the sun, but a DC-DC charger keeps charging while you drive and during cloudy days. Many modern vehicles have smart alternators that won't charge a second battery properly without one, so most touring setups use both.
A generator is useful for high loads like air conditioning, or as backup through long overcast stretches when solar can't keep up. Check campground rules first, as some places restrict generator use or hours.
