Armed With 200A of 12V Lithium Battery Power, Amptron Batteries Always Deliver. If you're chasing serious grunt for your 12V setup, the Amptron 12V...
View full detailsA 200Ah lithium battery is the step up for trips that outgrow a weekend bank: a fridge that stays on, lights, charging, and often a 240V inverter. The packs here are LiFePO4, in 12V cases and in 24V cases for systems already built that way.
Read moreThis capacity is about runtime and discharge headroom, not a different hobby. If the bay is a narrow slot, cross-check slimline lithium batteries. If the job is a shorter run of fridge and lights, 100Ah lithium batteries are the lighter starting point. The broader touring range is lithium batteries for camping.
We stock 200Ah lithium batteries from brands used on Aussie touring rigs:
Browse the 200Ah lithium batteries above and check the case against the bay. Call 1300 902 361 if you want a hand matching discharge current to an inverter.
People who stay out longer than a weekend, or who run more than a fridge. A couple of nights with lights and phones is often fine on a smaller bank. This size earns its keep when the fridge stays on through the day and you still want an inverter for a kettle, a charger or a small appliance. If you are only out Friday to Sunday, compare 100Ah lithium batteries before you buy the bigger case.
On Amptron's plain 12V pair, the smaller 200A pack is published at 11kg and this capacity is 22kg, at 370 x 190 x 245mm. Other 12V cases here cluster nearby: Amptron BluEdge at 20.5kg, Renogy Core at 20.2kg, Renogy Core Mini at 19.25kg, Custom Lithium compact and slim at 18kg. The 24V packs are the ones that change the install. Amptron's 24V BluEdge is 40.5kg and Custom Lithium's 24V pack is about 38kg.
Some will. Custom Lithium's compact is 265 x 190 x 250mm, with an overall height of 275mm, and the listing describes it as a case shaped like the battery you are replacing. A slimline will not. Enerdrive's B-Tec slimline is 530mm long, 600mm high and 83mm deep, about 30kg. Custom Lithium's Ultra Slim in this capacity is 66mm thick and 22kg. Measure length, width and height, then pick the family that matches.
Both Tistar batteries in this collection, the standard case and the slimline, publish 206Ah at 12.8V. The slimline case is 660 x 472 x 73mm including terminals and supports, at 27.1kg plus or minus 1kg. The standard case is 387 x 206 x 273mm including terminals, at 22kg plus or minus 1kg.
Self-heating is about charging the cells, not warming the van. The Renogy Pro 12V lists a self-heating function, and the Renogy Core 24V lists a 200W self-heating function so charging can continue at low temperature. That is not a reason to assume the same feature on an Amptron, Enerdrive, Tistar, K2 or Custom Lithium pack. If alpine mornings are normal for you, start with the Renogy listing that actually names self-heating.
Often, if you size the inverter to the battery's continuous rating rather than to the amp-hour figure. Amptron's 12V 200A pack and the K2 12V both list 200A maximum continuous discharge. Custom Lithium's compact lists 330A continuous, and the dual-terminal case does too, in a 123mm-wide body at 23kg. A 200A feed and a 330A feed are not the same inverter. Match cable, fuse and charger to the model you buy.
