Turn A Key, Not A Cord — The Water Master MYD15HPE Diesel Fire Pump
In a genuine emergency, whoever is closest to the pump needs to be able to start it — not just whoever is strongest. The MYD15HPE uses electric start with the battery and wiring mounted inside the frame, so anyone can get it running in seconds without wrestling a pull cord. Behind it sits a Yanmar L70N diesel driving a heavy duty single impeller pump that moves 640 litres a minute, the highest flow in the Water Master fire pump range. Australian manufactured.
Make your fire plan something anyone can operate and add one to your cart today.

Why The Water Master MYD15HPE Diesel Fire Fighting Pump May Be Right For You:
- Let anyone on the property start it with electric start and the battery wired inside the frame, so in a high stress situation the pump isn't waiting on the one person who knows the knack.
- Move serious water at 640 litres a minute — the highest flow in the Water Master fire pump range — so wetting down a property or filling tanks happens fast when minutes matter.
- Store fuel more safely because diesel is far less volatile than petrol, which matters for something that sits in a shed near the house for eleven months of the year.
- Get more hours out of it with a Yanmar diesel engine, known for efficiency and long service life rather than just peak output.
- Trust it in wet and rough conditions with a cast aluminium pump housing, fittings and impeller throughout, built to last rather than to hit a price.
- Buy something built here — Australian manufactured, and it suits water transfer, wash down and irrigation just as well as fire fighting.

Water Master MYD15HPE FAQs
1. Why choose diesel over a petrol fire pump?
Three reasons. Diesel is less volatile than petrol, which matters for fuel stored near a house all year. Diesel engines generally run more efficiently and last longer. And this pump moves 640 L/min, more than any petrol pump in the range. The trade-offs are weight at 70kg and a higher purchase price.
2. Why does electric start matter on a fire pump?
Because in an emergency the person nearest the pump might not be the person who normally starts it. Electric start means anyone can get it running quickly, and the battery and wiring are mounted inside the frame so portability isn't compromised. Keep the battery charged — a flat battery is the usual reason an electric start pump won't fire.
3. What hoses and fittings will I need?
Suction is 1.5”, and there are three discharge ports — 1 x 1.5” and 2 x 1” — so you can run several lines at once. Ring us on 1300 902 361 if you'd like help matching hose and fittings to your property.
4. How do I keep it ready between fire seasons?
Diesel stores far better than petrol, but it isn't indefinite. Keep the 3.3 litre tank topped up and treated, keep the starting battery charged, check the oil before each season, and run the pump briefly every few months. A pump that's never tested is the one that fails on the day.
