Will this fit my spotting scope?
Only if it's a current-generation Viper HD 85mm. It will not fit the 65mm Viper HD, and it isn't made for the Razor or Diamondback ranges — Razor has its own ranging eyepiece. If you're unsure which Viper HD you own, check the objective size printed on the barrel: this eyepiece needs the 85mm. Ask us before ordering if you'd rather be certain.

Should I get MOA or MRAD?
Match whatever your rifle scope uses. If your turrets are in MOA, get the MOA eyepiece so spotter and shooter are speaking the same units — that's the entire point. Mixing MOA and MRAD between spotter and shooter reintroduces the mental conversion you bought this to avoid. This listing is the MOA version.

Is it hard to fit or set up?
No. It swaps in place of the standard eyepiece on your 85mm Viper HD in seconds, no tools. Two things to do once: set the diopter ring so the reticle is crisp for your eye, then rotate the reticle until it's level with the horizon. After that it's ready every time.

What does the VIP warranty actually cover?
Vortex will repair or replace the eyepiece if it's damaged or defective, no matter how it happened or whose fault it was. No warranty card, no receipt to keep, and it transfers if you sell it on. It doesn't cover loss, theft, misuse or deliberate damage, and return postage to the service centre is on you.
