Should I get the 10x50 or the 12x50?
The 10x50 is the easier pair to live with. It holds steadier by hand, shows you more of the hillside at once, and has the brighter exit pupil for low light. The 12x50 pulls in closer for picking apart detail at long range, but you'll notice the shake more. If you're mostly glassing open country from a steady position, the 12x50 earns its keep. For everything else, the 10x50.

Are these too heavy to carry all day?
At 805 grams they're a full-size 50mm bino, so there's honest weight there — but they're among the lighter pairs in that class, and the included GlassPak harness makes far more difference to comfort than shaving a hundred grams would. Carried on the chest rather than the neck, a full day is no trouble.

Can I use them with glasses on?
Yes. There's 16mm of eye relief and the eyecups twist down, so with glasses on you'll still get the full field of view. Twist them back up if you're not wearing glasses. Set the diopter on the right eyepiece once to match your eyes and you're done.

What does the VIP warranty actually cover?
Vortex will repair or replace the product if it's damaged or defective, no matter how it happened or whose fault it was. No warranty card, no receipt to keep, and it transfers if you sell them on. It doesn't cover loss, theft, misuse or deliberate damage, and return postage to the service centre is on you.
