The Kalbarri X comes with a mounting kit for installation onto suitable vehicle roof racks or crossbars. Once installed, its hardshell and X-arm design makes setting up camp straightforward. It also includes a 2.3 m telescopic aluminium ladder that can be positioned on three sides of the tent. Always follow the supplied user manual and confirm your vehicle and roof-rack system can safely support the tent before installation.
2. How many people can sleep in the Kalbarri X Rooftop Tent?
The tent provides an internal sleeping area of approximately 201 × 125 cm and includes a 199 × 120 × 5 cm foam mattress plus an anti-condensation mat. Its raised X-arm design provides additional headroom and ventilation for a more comfortable night's sleep.
3. Is the Kalbarri X safe to use in wet and outdoor conditions?
Yes. The tent uses 420D double-ripstop Oxford fabric and 280GT poly-cotton with a PU 5000 mm waterproof rating and UV 50+ protection. The supplied ladder is rated to 150 kg, while the integrated crossbars have a maximum load rating of 20 kg. Always ensure the tent is securely mounted and properly dry it before storage to help prevent moisture and mould.
