Gentech EP2800HSR FAQs
1. What can the EP2800HSR run?
2.8kVA at 230V through two 15 amp outlets — lighting, hand tools, a camp fridge or a small pump. It's powered by a Honda GP200 engine, so you're getting Honda reliability at the smallest end of the Gentech range.
2. How quiet is it and how long does it run?
67 dBA measured at 7 metres, which is the quietest open-frame unit in the Gentech range. The 3.1 litre tank gives approximately 2.32 hours at 80% load, consuming around 1.34 L/hr.
3. Can one person move it?
Yes. At 40kg and 650 x 460 x 415mm it's genuinely portable — the lightest Gentech generator we stock. Starting is recoil pull, so there's no battery to go flat.
4. What safety precautions should I follow?
Outdoors only, always. Petrol and diesel generators produce carbon monoxide, which you cannot see or smell — never run one inside a shed, garage or under an awning, even with the doors open. Keep it clear of flammable materials, don't exceed its rated output, and let the engine cool before refuelling.
