Ford Ranger Dual Battery: No Drill, No Tray, No Compromise
Fitting a second battery to a Ranger usually means a tray, a bracket, a handful of new holes in something you just paid a lot of money for, and a nagging feeling you've voided something. The Custom Lithium Ford Ranger dual battery skips all of it. The battery is the mount — it's moulded to the Ranger's cab, so it goes in without drilling and without a tray. Available in 100Ah or 200Ah, Australian-made, with a 3,500-cycle life at a sensible depth of discharge. Suits dual cabs from 2015 to 2026, which covers PX2, PX3 and the Next Gen RA.

Why The Ford Ranger Dual Battery May Be Right For You
- You don't put a single hole in your Ranger — it's a genuine no-drill solution for the Next Gen Ranger and Raptor, so the install is reversible and there's nothing to explain at trade-in time.
- No battery tray to buy or fit — the all-in-one case is shaped to the vehicle, which removes a whole layer of cost, weight and fabrication from the job.
- You choose how far you want to go — 100Ah handles a fridge and the usual 12V gear for a long weekend; 200Ah is for people running an inverter, a second fridge, or staying out for a week without shore power.
- It'll still be going in ten years — 3,500 cycles when discharged to an average of 70–80% state of charge under proper maintenance, which is a different conversation entirely to replacing an AGM every couple of years.
- It covers a decade of Rangers — 2015 through 2026 dual cab, PX2, PX3 and Next Gen RA, so it suits the one you've got now and holds its value if you upgrade.

Ford Ranger Dual Battery FAQs
Should I get the 100Ah or the 200Ah?
Rough rule: a 12V fridge pulls somewhere around 30–40Ah a day in Australian summer heat. 100Ah gives you a comfortable couple of days running a fridge, lights and charging, with solar or driving topping it back up. Go 200Ah if you're running an inverter for mains gear, a second fridge, or you park up for several days without driving. The 200Ah costs more up front but it's a lot cheaper than finding out you're short.
Can I install this myself?
Custom Lithium recommend installation by a qualified auto electrician, and so do we. These are vehicle-specific kits rather than a battery in a box — there's high-current wiring, fusing and a DC-DC charger to get right, and getting it wrong is an insurance problem rather than an inconvenience. Depending on the vehicle there may also be minor trimming or drilling involved.
Is the wiring kit included?
No. The battery is the all-in-one unit here — the wiring kit, DC-DC charger, monitor and mounting brackets are separate. Not everything shown in the photos is supplied. Give us a ring on 1300 902 361 and we'll work out exactly what you need for your setup rather than guessing.
Do I need a battery tray?
No. That's the point of a vehicle-specific battery — the case itself is shaped to the space it mounts in, so there's no separate tray, no fabrication and no hunting for a flat spot. It's why these fit where a standard rectangular battery won't.
Where are they made?
Australia. Custom Lithium's auxiliary battery systems are Australian-Made certified, so parts, support and warranty all sit here rather than at the end of a long email chain overseas.
