1. What can it run?
2000W continuous with 4000W surge, which handles most camp and worksite gear, kettles, toasters, power tools and electronics. Pure sine wave output at 230 to 240V, 50Hz, so sensitive equipment is safe on it.
2. Does it switch over when shore power is connected?
Yes, there's a 16A AC transfer switch built in. There's also a 5V 2.1A USB output on the unit for charging small devices directly.
3. What are the battery requirements?
12V DC nominal, operating from 10.5V to 15.5V. Low and high voltage protection is built in, along with overload and over-temperature protection.
4. How does it compare to the RCD version?
This model has the transfer switch but not an integrated RCD safety switch. If your install needs residual current protection built into the inverter, the RCD version is the one to choose. It's about 435 x 230 x 115mm and 5.9kg, with a 5 year warranty.
