1. What does the Bluetti B500K connect to?
It's an expansion battery for the Bluetti Apex 300, not a standalone power station. It has no inverter or outlets of its own, so it needs to be connected to a compatible unit to be of any use. The CA90 short cable needed to make that connection is supplied in the box.
2. How much extra capacity does it add?
Each B500K adds 5,120Wh (5.12kWh) of LiFePO4 capacity to your system. That's a substantial increase on the Apex 300's own capacity and is generally enough to take a setup from riding out an evening to riding out a full day or more, depending on what you're running.
3. How long will it last before it needs replacing?
The cells are rated for 4,000+ cycles. In practice that means years of regular use rather than seasons, which is the main reason LiFePO4 costs more up front than older battery chemistries and ends up costing less over time.
4. Is it protected against overcharging and overheating?
Yes, a battery management system is built in and handles the protection side automatically. As with any battery of this size, keep it within its specified operating temperatures, use the supplied cable and compatible accessories, and follow the user manual when connecting it.
