Why The Welling & Crossley 8.75VA Generator May Be Right For You:
-
You get steady, worry-free power for your essentials thanks to the built-in AVR system, so your fridge, tools and electronics keep running smoothly without power surges.
-
You save time and effort when starting up with the electric start and backup recoil, so you’re not yanking cords and losing your temper when the power’s out.
-
You can run more gear at the same time with a solid 7kW power output, so the house, shed or job site stays powered without overload dramas.
-
You refuel less often and get on with the job thanks to the large fuel tank and efficient petrol engine, so it keeps ticking over during longer outages or workdays.
-
You won’t break a sweat moving it around with the tough open-frame build and wheel kit, so shifting it around the yard or site is quick and painless.

Welling & Crossley 8.75 kVA AVR Generator FAQs
1. What can it power?
7,000 W maximum with 6,500 W rated at 240V, through two IP66 15A outlets plus USB-A and USB-C. That covers a worksite running several tools, or a house's essential circuits during an outage.
2. Does it have a 32A outlet?
No — it has two 15A outlets only. If you need a 32A connection, look at the 11.25 kVA or 13.75 kVA models which include one. Worth checking before ordering.
3. How does it compare to the RCD version?
Same 8.75 kVA output and the same WC-420 engine. The RCD model adds a residual current safety switch built into the generator, which matters on a worksite where 240V outlets are accessible.
4. What safety precautions should I follow?
Outdoors only, always. Petrol and diesel generators produce carbon monoxide, which you cannot see or smell — never run one inside a shed, garage or under an awning, even with the doors open. Keep it clear of flammable materials, don't exceed its rated output, and let the engine cool before refuelling.
