Smaller 6kVA silenced diesels will comfortably carry the essentials - fridge, freezer, lights, internet and a few power points — while the bigger single and three phase sets from 11kVA up to 27.5kVA will run a whole home including air conditioning, or a farm shed and workshop alongside it. Long range models stretch run times out considerably, which is worth thinking about if outages in your area tend to last more than an afternoon.
