Bianco Vulcan BIA-MH15SHP: Serious Pressure For When The Wind Turns

There’s a particular sinking feeling that comes with smoke on the ridge, a hot northerly, and mains pressure that’s dropped to a polite dribble because every other bloke in the district has turned his tap on at the same time. A garden hose at that point is just an expensive way to feel useless. The Bianco Vulcan BIA-MH15SHP is the answer to that: a single-impeller fire fighting pump shifting 390 litres a minute at up to 74.5 metres of head, driven by a Honda GX160 that starts on the recoil after sitting in the shed all winter. It self-primes from 6 metres down, so the dam, the creek and the tank all become water you can actually use. At 28.2 kg you can lift it into the ute on your own, and the other 364 days of the year it’s just as happy doing washdown, dust suppression, tank filling and crop spraying.

Add one to your cart and stop hoping the mains hold up.

Free shipping Australia-wide. Assembled in Australia and backed by a 2 year pump parts and labour warranty.

Bianco Vulcan BIA-MH15SHP: What You Get

  • You get real pressure at the far end of a long hose run — 74.5 metres of head off the single closed impeller means you can run line up a slope or across a paddock and still have something worth pointing at a fire, instead of a sad little dribble.
  • It fires up when you need it, not on the fifth pull — the Honda GX160 runs a transistor magneto ignition and a dual-element paper and foam air cleaner, so it shrugs off dust and months sitting idle between seasons and still starts on the recoil.
  • One person can get it where it needs to go — 28.2 kg in a 510 x 410 x 425 mm roll frame lifts into a ute tray or onto a tank stand without a second set of hands, so you’re not standing around waiting for help when minutes count.
  • Whatever water is on the property becomes usable water — it self-primes from 6 metres down through a 1½" inlet, so the dam, the creek and the rainwater tank all count, not just the tap that stops working when the mains drop.
  • Parts and service are actually here in Australia — it’s assembled locally around a Honda Australia approved engine with Bianco spares stocked in-country, so a worn mechanical seal down the track is a phone call and a part, not a write-off.

Bianco Vulcan BIA-MH15SHP FAQs

Do I get hoses with it?
No — the pump comes on its own, which is normal for this class. You’ll want a 1½" suction hose with a strainer on the end, a foot valve above the strainer, and whatever delivery hose suits your block. White International sell a matching 1½" fire hose kit (FFK01-B) if you’d rather not piece it together yourself. Give us a bell on 1300 902 361 and we’ll sort out what you actually need.

Is there any assembly, and does it come with oil?
There’s nothing to bolt together, but it ships without engine oil — add 0.5 L before you pull the cord or you’ll cook it. The other big one: fill the pump housing with water before starting, at least 2 litres, and top up the suction line if you can. Running it dry chews out the mechanical seal in seconds and voids the warranty. Prime it, then start it.

How far can it draw water up, and how far can it push?
It self-primes from up to 6 metres below the pump, so a dam, creek, bore tank or rainwater tank is all fair game. On the output side it’ll manage 74.5 metres of head or 390 litres a minute — not both at once, mind. The higher or further you push, the less volume comes out the end. For most house blocks and small farms that’s plenty of pressure to reach the roofline and the back fence.

Is it safe to run near the house, and what’s the warranty?
Outdoors only, always. The exhaust puts out carbon monoxide, which you can’t see or smell and which will kill you — never run it in a shed, garage or under the house, even with the doors open. Keep a metre clear on all sides, and don’t touch the muffler until it’s cooled off. It’s covered by a 2 year parts and labour warranty on the pump, with Honda’s own engine warranty and service network behind the GX160.
