Hyundai HY10000iSE: Big Power That Won't Get You Kicked Out Of The Caravan Park

There's a moment on every trip where someone fires up a generator and the whole campground turns to look. Usually it's an old open-frame job that sounds like a chainsaw in a wheelie bin. The Hyundai HY10000iSE is the opposite of that — 10,000 watts of clean inverter power at 65 dB from seven metres, which is quieter than the conversation happening around the fire. Turn the key, or hit the remote from inside the van, and you've got enough grunt to run a rooftop air conditioner, the fridge, the induction cooktop and still charge the tools. Nine hours at half load off the 25-litre tank, so you're not up at 2am topping it up.

Add one to your cart and stop rationing your power.

Free shipping Australia-wide. Backed by a 2 year limited warranty through the Australian distributor.

Why The Hyundai HY10000iSE May Be Right For You

  • You can run the big-ticket appliances without thinking about it — 10,000 W peak and 9,000 W continuous is enough headroom for a rooftop air conditioner to kick in while the fridge, kettle and battery charger are all still going, which is exactly where smaller units trip out.
  • Nobody has to move camp because of you — 65 dB at 7 m puts it around the level of normal conversation, so you can run it through the afternoon without an awkward chat from the site next door.
  • Start it without getting out of the van — recoil, electric key start and remote start all come standard, so a cold morning doesn't mean standing outside in the wet pulling a cord.
  • Sensitive gear stays safe — true inverter output gives clean, stable 240 V, so laptops, CPAP machines, TVs, induction cooktops and modern fridges run off it without the voltage spikes that kill electronics on conventional gensets.
  • One tank does a full day — 25 litres gives 9 hours at 50% load, and the 32 A and 15 A outlets are both IP66 rated, so a bit of weather on a worksite isn't a problem.

Hyundai HY10000iSE FAQs

Will it run a caravan air conditioner?
Comfortably. Rooftop air conditioners draw a big surge when the compressor kicks in, which is what catches out smaller generators. With 10,000 W available on peak and 9,000 W continuous, the HY10000iSE has enough headroom to absorb that surge and keep the fridge, lights and chargers running at the same time. Check your air conditioner's starting wattage if you're running other heavy loads alongside it.

How loud is it really?
65 dB measured at 7 metres at 25% load — roughly the volume of a normal conversation. That's the figure most caravan parks are happy with, though it will climb under heavier load. Position it away from your neighbour's awning and you won't hear complaints.

Does it need assembly, and what do I check first?
Minimal setup. Check the oil and fuel levels before the first start, look over the unit for anything loose in transit, and run it on a level surface. The electric and remote start make the first run straightforward. Follow the supplied operating instructions rather than guessing.

What safety precautions should I follow?
Outdoors only, always — petrol generators produce carbon monoxide, which you can't see or smell. Never run it inside a van, awning, shed or garage, even with doors open. Keep it clear of flammable materials, don't exceed its rated output, and let it cool before refuelling.

What warranty does it come with?
2 years limited, covering defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. It doesn't cover misuse, unauthorised repairs, normal wear, or consumables like plugs and filters. Service it at the intervals in the manual and hang onto your proof of purchase and service records.
